Né le 21 mars 1889 à BROWNWOOD (Texas, USA) fils de Hugh Crawford WALKER (1856-1927) et de Julia. Marié avec Mattie Viola SUMMERLINE (1898-1974) le 18 novembre 1911 et a deux enfants : Jewell Mae WALKER (1917-2000) et Minnie Opal WALKER(1913-1981) . Il travaillait comme fermier et habitait JENKINS (Nouveau Mexique, USA)

He joins on june 5, 1917 as shown by his Registration Card. His last known unit is the 146th field artillery, battery A, of the 41st Division ("Sunsetters Division") where he was private. His serial number was 2 352 226.

Le 146e régiment d'artillerie est rattaché comme corps d'artillerie et participe aux batailles de Château-Thierry, Aisne-Marne, St Mihiel et de Meuse-Argonne.

The 146th Field Artillery were attached as corps artillery units and participated in the battles of Château-Thierry, Aisne-Marne, St Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne.

Les archives de TONNERRE (Yonne, France) montre qu’il est mort le 26 février 1919 à l’hôpital de camp n°50 d'une broncho-pneumonie. Il est enterré à THIAUCOURT-REGNIEVILLE (Meurthe-et-Moselle, France) au cimetière américain de Saint Mihiel.

The TONNERRE archives (Yonne, France) shows that he died of broncho-pneumonia on february 26, 1919 at Camp Hospital No. 50. He is buried in THIAUCOURT-REGNIEVILLE (Meurthe-et-Moselle, France) at Saint Mihiel American Cemetery and Memorial.
